Galaxy Squad is the type of game that I really enjoy.Combat uses a tactical turn-based squad system reminiscent of the XCOM series.Outside of combat you will be managing your ship and traveling between star nodes where you will enounter events which is reminiscent of FTL.The game is still in Early Access and thus new features are being added quite frequently and there is the occasional bug.From my experience most bugs are fixed within a few minutes of being reported, depending on the developer's availability and the severity of the bug.The worst bug I have enountered so far was fixed and updated to Steam within 10 minutes of being reported.. While writing this, I've put in less than 5 hours, however... I can tell i'm going to sink in too many hour in this game, even before it's finished. And once it does finish, I'll sink that many more hours in. Excellent game even in an early state. I highly recommend it.. If you enjoy turn based combat games in the line of XCOM,you're bount to like this game.Of course,it's still a work in progress and you'll see it as you play but it's one worth supporting specially if you enjoy the type of games I mentioned earlier.As of now,the combat and navigation are mostly solid and the story is coming up.There are only a few flaws that I'd hope would be fixed (or maybe just things that I missed):-I seem to have a problem with the game screen being cut/zoomed in too much.I've tried playing around with the resolution and yes..the screen changes as you would expect but it's still cut,most of the time this isn't much of a big deal but when I wanted to try the survival mode I couldn't see the character profile nor choose the right side of their perks.-Once I had two soldiers to fall in combat.At the end of the mission one of them was gone permanently but the other one was still there,could this be some kind of randomised chance in which the soldier may recover or die permanently or was this a bug? (At least the gear of the fallen soldier was given back to me,it's always a good thing to have that back).-I've noticed that when a grenade launcher misses,the grenade remains propelled until it blows up somewhere out of the walkable map.Conclusion: For a work in progress,this small game is a nice take on the XCOM'esque games,With some support it could grow into something great. (Note that I bought it on a sale,even if I approve supporting I think the sale price was a fair one). Obviously haven't played a lot, but it definitely has that Xcom feel, and I love the stupid little quips the soldier's make, like the one about the stars in the sky being pixelated. By any chance, does anyone know if there's a way to rotate the camera? That's got to be my only complaint so far.. Really bad UI with broken English throughout the game. Gameplay is a shallow X-Com clone combined with FTL map movement. Interactions with NPCs are abrupt. (Killed some bandits? Returning to the quest giver gets you a "All done!" option to which you get a +credits response.Despite being EA, it's quite lacking in polish.All of that said, hopefully the developer can flush these issues out and if so, you will have a decent low-budget tactical space romp that might be worth the $10 at that point.. Fun Game. Simple but not shallow. Like others have said, good smash up of FTL and X-Com.. For now the game deserve a 3/10 , but the idea is good. It lack mission diversity for now , i feel like it miss so management option too , maybe more classes would be nice. But its a Early access , i trust the developers , pretty sure than one or two years from now this will be my favorite game. Please Don't abandon it , i trust you on this one. (Cmon guys , its cheap , buy it , support turn-based indie games that doesn't surcharge you and sell 20 useless DLC). Only played it for a bit but so far I like it. It's like Xcom but with elements of Steamworld Heist (the map as well as getting bonus items before the mission is over). It runs smooth, is simple to manage but has a big map too with lots of options. No bugs encountered yet except the ones I was shooting in the game. There is another early access game like this called Stellar Tactics that I also like. Looking forward to the finished game.. nice game i wanna some space fight
